Carmen

Full of life and passion, Bizet's Carmen was fiercely independent and this room, sitting on its own with its traditionally Neopolitan bright yellow trim and orange and red accents, is where Carmen herself would have chosen to stay.

The small private balcony laced with bougainvillia, overlooks the lush garden terraces and stares out into the deep blue sea. Romance or tranquility can be found here in equal measure.

Carmen Opera

Carmen is an opera comique in four acts by the French composer Georges Bizet. This flamboyant and passionate opera follows the downfall of Don José, a naïve soldier who is seduced by the wiles of the fiery Gypsy, Carmen. José abandons his childhood sweetheart and deserts from his military duties, yet loses Carmen's love to the glamorous toreador Escamillo, after which José kills her in a jealous rage.

The music of Carmen has been widely acclaimed for its brilliance of melody, harmony, atmosphere and orchestration, and for the skill with which Bizet musically represented the emotions and suffering of his characters.
